How does the CASPer practice feedback work?

After you submit your responses, you receive detailed feedback based on the Response Method framework — the same thinking structure developed from real evaluation experience. Feedback covers what your response did well, where your reasoning could go deeper, and how to strengthen your approach for each question type. All users receive unlimited practice with basic feedback. Free users also receive 3 premium feedback sessions including scores, quartile, and model responses. Premium members receive full feedback on every session with no limit.

What is the quartile ranking in CASPer practice?

After each feedback session, you receive a quartile ranking showing how your response compares to other students who have practiced on Response Method. 4th Quartile is the top 25% of responses, 3rd Quartile is top 51-75%, 2nd Quartile is bottom 26-50%, and 1st Quartile is the bottom 25%. This is a useful benchmark for tracking improvement over time, though it is not a prediction of your actual CASPer score.

When should I start preparing for CASPer?

Ideally 2-4 weeks before your test date. That gives you enough time to get familiar with the framework, practice applying it across different scenario types, and build genuine confidence. Even a week of focused practice makes a real difference.

What is included in Response Method Premium?

Premium gives you unlimited scored feedback on every typed and video response practice session, plus a quartile ranking and model response after each session. There are two options: 14 Days ($49 USD) — full premium access for 14 days, ideal if your test is coming up soon; and Lifetime ($149 USD) — one-off payment for permanent access. All free users also receive 3 premium feedback sessions to try before upgrading.

Is the practice similar to the real CASPer test?

The scenarios are designed to be realistic and cover the same competencies and question types used in the real test. Timing mirrors the actual test format. That said, the official CASPer test is administered by Acuity Insights and may differ in specific content, interface, and scoring — Response Method is a preparation tool, not a replica.
